The book of celeb history got a new leaf on April 1, when Oscar-winning Hollywood diva Penelope Cruz got a star on the coveted Walk of Fame in California.
Cruz, whose gripping cameo in Woody Allen’s flick “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” got her an Oscar, described the day as a big and memorable one.
Admiring the pink granite star, she said, “Every time I look at that star, I will see the names of all the people that have helped me make many of my dreams a reality.”
The 36-year old Spanish beauty first debuted in a 1992 Pedro Almodovar film “Jamon Jamon,” though it was on television first that she got an acting break. Some of her well-known movies were Blow," "Vanilla Sky" and "Nine.” Penelope Cruz’s next big leap will be "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” opposite Johnny Depp.
